I love when I capture moments like this!
These are obviously pictures of the kids with Santa. Tyler was very excited, and told Santa that he wants a Polar Express train. Sadly, I'm afraid he'll be slightly disappointed this year. Santa's budget does not allow for a $140 train set! I think he'll get a nice note explaining that Santa and Mommy and Daddy talked and we decided he needed to be a little bit older, and more responsible with the toys he already has before he gets his Polar Express train.
Addie was not so sure about this. At least she didn't cry.
We saw this on the way to church yesterday morning. They're called sun dogs. Here's some info on them with some other pictures. We didn't know what they were until someone at church told us. Pretty cool, huh?
And here's a picture of the view we saw as we came out of church yesterday. Pretty bleak, huh?
Edited to add:
I totally forgot the Christmas clothes! Neither child cooperated too much. I guess that's what happens when you've been at church from 8:45am until 1:15pm. Maybe we'll try again next week when Mom doesn't have meetings all day.
Tyler took this picture. He's getting pretty good, isn't he?

Wow, those sun dogs are awesome looking! I'd never heard of them before!
The Tyler train story reminds me of when I was about 12 and had to (as part of the primary Christmas program) go up and sit on Santa's lap. I couldn't think of anything to tell him that I wanted other than what the girl ahead of me had said (a porcelain doll), and I didn't want to COPY her, so I just said a train. My mom was worried after that because I'd never mentioned wanting a train before. Ha ha! Needless to say, I didn't get a train. I got my porcelain doll. Santa can read minds, I think. :)
Wow that's gorgeous!! Hehe, I remember sitting on Santa's lap a few times as a kid... I don't remember saying much, though. :P
I'd never heard of a sundog before. Debany and I enjoyed learning about them on the website you provided.
Love the x-mas pics. And the sun dog! I wished I had my camera with me when I saw that. I may have to steal yours. Little Addie is SUCH a cutie! We miss you guys!
